This Privacy Policy outlines how FOCUSONE Payment Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the MOCO Travel Wallet, our digital wallet service.
Our registered office is at Kamaladi, Kathmandu, Nepal. We are licensed as a Payment Service Provider (PSP) by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and comply with all applicable Nepalese laws, including the Privacy Act 2018, Electronic Transactions Act 2006, NRB Directives on Payment Service Providers, and related AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism) regulations.
By registering, accessing, or using the MOCO Travel Wallet, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information strictly necessary for providing services, ensuring security, and complying with legal obligations under Nepalese law.
2.1. Information You Provide Directly:
- Full name, email address.
- KYC Information (per NRB Directives & AML Guidelines): Verified identity details from valid government-issued documents (e.g., Passport, Aadhar), including date of birth and address.
2.2. Information Collected Automatically Transaction Data:
- Payment details (amount, date, time, merchant ID).
- Sensitive card data is handled per PCI DSS standards and not stored by us.
- Device Data: Device type, OS, app version, and unique identifiers for functionality and security.
- Location Data: With your explicit consent, for service enhancement and fraud prevention.
2.3. Information from Third Parties
If you use third-party logins (e.g., Google), we access permitted basic profile information under your privacy settings.
2.4. Customer Support and Communication Information
- Information you provide when contacting customer support, including inquiries, complaints, or service requests.
3. Purpose of Collection and Use
We use collected information for purposes including:
- Service Delivery: Account creation, card management, transactions, and feature access.
- Compliance: To fulfil obligations under NRB Guidelines, Privacy Act 2018, and AML/CFT requirements.
- Security: To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or unauthorised activity.
- Customer Support: To assist with inquiries and resolve issues.
- Communications: Important service updates, legal notices, and (with your consent) promotional messages.
- Service Improvement & Personalisation: To enhance user experience, respecting the provisions of the Privacy Act 2018, (Data Minimisation).
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information. Data may be shared only under the following lawful circumstances:
- With Authorized Service Providers: Bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
- With Financial Institutions/Payment Networks: For lawful transaction processing.
- With Merchants: Limited to transaction confirmation.
- With Authorities: As required under Nepalese law, including the Privacy Act 2018, (Disclosure to Authorities).
- In Corporate Transactions: Upon merger/acquisition with prior notice.
- With Your Consent: As per your explicit agreement.
5. Data Security and Retention
5.1. Security Measures
We implement security measures in line with Privacy Act 2018, (Data Protection Obligations):
- Encryption: For both data in transit and at rest.
- PCI DSS Compliance.
- Access Control: Restricted access on a “need-to-know” basis.
- Authentication: Multi-factor mechanisms, including biometrics.
Note: While robust measures are implemented, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5.2. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for:
- Service provision
- Compliance with Nepalese laws and NRB
- Regulations AML/CFT record-keeping obligations (as per NRB Directives)
- After account closure and expiry of legal retention periods, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

Our app may contain third-party links. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We’d like to encourage you to review their policies separately.

In compliance with Privacy Act 2018, our services are not for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy periodically in line with legal, operational, or regulatory changes. Material updates will be communicated through the app and website. Continued use post-update signifies acceptance.
